Account Retrieval Guide
Brief Overview
This guide is in regards to those who wanted to claim their hacked/banned accounts.
Habbo is really sensitive to some words yet regardless of their sensitivity, it is for the right guidance for their players. These are for players who are either disrupting the game for others by flooding the screen or raiding rooms. Bans or mutes also keep those in check, who are engaging in harmful scripting. You may face anything from an alert to a permanent ban, based on the severity of the problem and how many times you have previously been sent alerts flagging up the same issue.

The importance of Internet safety in between a variety of information, personal data, and property protection is really important. Internet safety is more important for users while accessing online banking services and shopping. Internet safety is important to secure online transactions and while using digital wallets in mobiles. Especially kids, teenagers, and less computer and internet literate people cheated more on the Internet.

Tips:
1. Create a strong password:
Please make sure it is at least 8-16 characters long A mixture of uppercase/lowercase/numbers/symbols If possible, make it as a nonsense phrase Do change your password frequently.
2. Enable Account Safety Lock:
On your main Habbo page, click yourself and go to “Settings”. Next, click on “Account Protection” and then click on “Turn on safety lock”. Also make sure that no one else knows the answers to the safety questions. This can secure your account from getting hacked easily.
3. Use a different email for your Habbo, Discord and other websites.
I advise you to use different emails for different platforms. For example, make one email for Habbo and another one for Discord, So when one email is compromised, the hacker won’t be able to retrieve any other information.
4. Ignore Scammer/Suspicious links
If you read messages on your Habbo DM’s such as: “You are on TOP 10 on the best dressed Habbo on (insert website)” Please refrain from clicking the link as it's all a SCAM! And they will just hack your account.

There are also other ways to protect your computer from threats non Habbo related, such as:
1. Install anti-virus in your computer.
Protect your devices from getting any Malware/Trojan/Ransomware. These threats are very dangerous and they can get access information from your devices. There are various type of antivirus such as Kaspersky,Norton, etc.
2. Avoid connecting to public wifi.
Those networks can have access to your personal information. If you ever have to connect to public wifi, I suggest using a VPN as this will hide your information.
3. Avoid clicking on suspicious/non-trusted links.
There are a lot of links where the hacker would provide FAKE HC/BC/ or credits. They will ask you to fill in your Habbo details and then pick your option if you want HC or Coins These kinds of sites are NEVER trustable and DO NOT open any of these!

DSo how do you stay safe on the internet?
Do not give anyone your personal Habbo details or real-life details. It is VITAL that you keep your personal details private, to keep yourself safe and everyone around you.
Before giving a stranger on the internet your details, follow these three steps to ensure safety:
When should I contact someone about hackers?
If a hacker has sent you a link, as we said before just ignore, report, and remove them. If anyone starts making threats or anything you should tell someone about it.
You can contact a 1iC+ or any elective on Discord. They will always be happy to help you when you need them.

Mafia Threats
The “Crime Families” (or more commonly known as profit mafias or profit gangs) of Habbo are groups of people whose aim is to maximize profit (such as gaining credits) by any means necessary and will go to extreme lengths to achieve such goals. Such common methods include - but are not limited to - casinos, hacking, scamming, phishing, dox dropping, corporate espionage, raiding, spying/infiltration, etc. These are all examples which are illegal by the Habbo Way and illegal by real world laws in some countries.
These group of individuals can be very dangerous and it is of utmost importance that you familiarize yourself of who they are in the event one approaches you.

Safety Tips
If you end up making contact with a mafia member, DO NOT talk or affiliate with them. In the event that they threaten you or is seen within HIA grounds, immediately report them to a room rights member as Mafia are on BAN ON SIGHT, put them on ignore, and report them to Habbo for bullying. |
Even though they might be frightening and imposing, do not listen to them - no matter what they say - and report them to another elective to find help. Following what they say will put you and many others in danger as well. Under no circumstances should you ever talk, involve, or affiliate yourself with mafia as it will lead to permanent termination from HIA.
If you have any questions about the Internet Safety Guide please contact the Director General - Cybersecurity or a member of the Chief of Staff Team.
